Our Search function is based on keywords. To get more results, use fewer keywords and stick to generic titles e.g. Elementary, Social Studies, Math etc. To search for a specific location add the continent, country or city. So Math Egypt will bring up all the Math teaching jobs in Egypt. If you wish to be more specific, you can add additional keywords to the search, e.g. IB, AP, GCSE etc. But please bear in mind that the search will only return results which contain ALL the keywords specified.
For more results, use fewer and more generic keywords, and use US spelling - e.g. Math NOT Maths. We group jobs of a similar nature to make the database easier to search. So History, Geography, Government etc. are all listed as Social Studies. Remember: only postings that contain ALL keywords will appear in the search results. A list of commonly used keywords is given below:
Head (includes Head of School, Head of Faculty, Head of Dept etc.)
Early Years (includes Kindergarten, Nursery, Preschool, Reception etc.)
Elementary (includes Primary, Junior, etc.)
Business/Economics (includes Accounting, Marketing etc.)

Every effort is made to ensure that the information on the site is current. Each job is automatically removed from the site after 3 months so you don't waste your time on old listings. However, there is no way to guarantee that jobs listed have not already been offered out to another candidate. In such cases, qualified applicants will normally be added to a reserve list and contacted if the position should become free again.

Actually, this happens quite a lot - particularly as we get closer to the start of the next school year. Whilst some international schools regularly update their websites, many only update once or twice a year. This means that job opportunities can sometimes come and go without ever having appeared on the school site. Where the school only accepts applications via an online form on their employment page, you can still apply for the jobs. Simply include the job title as listed on WISHlistjobs.com along with the other information requested by the site.
