About This School
Sekolah Pelita Harapan is a system of five non-denominational Christian K-12 campuses. The schools began in 1993 in response to a need for quality education founded upon Biblical Christian truth. The program is dual language and not ESL, with instruction in both English and Bahasa Indonesia. Expatriate teachers are not required to teach in Bahasa Indonesia, but work with Indonesian teachers in grades K-6. It is our intention to prepare our students to be future leaders of Indonesia as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our schools are at various stages of accreditation with the following bodies: International Baccalaureate Organization, Cambridge Examinations organization, Association of Christian Schools International, Western Association of Schools and Colleges and member of Council of International Schools and Christian Schools International. As a Christian school, we have a definite Vision and Mission in which all teachers are expected to participate. Expectations are listed in the application materials.
