International School Jobs in Spain

Teaching Jobs in Spain

The majority of international schools in Spain can be found in large urban centres such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Seville. There are fewer international teaching jobs to be found in smaller towns and rural areas, but these are beginning to emerge. While some international schools offer full K-12 provision, others specialise in early years, primary or secondary education. Primary teaching jobs in Spain are common. Most international schools in Spain are accredited and deliver an internationally recognised curriculum such as the International Baccalaureate, US Common Core, or the National Curriculum for England. Teachers of most grades and subjects should be able to find teaching jobs in Spain international schools.

International School Jobs Spain

International school jobs in Spain run along the Western academic calendar, from September to June or July. There will often be two intakes for hiring, one in September and one in January. The hiring process for teaching jobs in Spain will normally start in October or November of the previous year. I want to look into living in Spain, and then possibly subbing or doing tutoring for an International school — would that be possible? Not sure about age limits — could you please let me know who I can contact if you aren’t able to help me?

Lastly, I have no problem engaging with students and can create healthy relationships with the students as well as the faculty.

  20. Hi, I’m an Irish citizen living in Andalusia. I have over 10 years teaching experience but in ELT. I have 3 years experience teaching English to children. I’d like to transition to working in an international school. My undergraduate degree was a general arts one which included English, anthropology and psychoanalysis. I’ve heard in some cases schools will hire based on Teaching experience if you don’t have a teaching post-grad. I’m wondering how I might successfully make a transition. Thank you
